About the Job
MLN Research is looking for a Market Research Manager to join our team. The Manager, Market Research is responsible for designing and executing qualitative research projects, synthesizing findings, and contributing to high-quality reporting and analysis.
In this role, you will support a wide range of initiatives across the full project lifecycle from writing proposals to conducting primary qualitative research, analyzing data, producing research reports, and delivering presentations to client teams.
This position requires critical thinking, adaptability, creativity, and the ability to meet time-sensitive demands from clients.
This is a full-time, remote work position based in Raleigh/Durham, NC
Responsibilities
Support all phases of qualitative research projects, including research design, recruiting questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis, synthesis of key insights, and translation of data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations through visual, creative and story-driven reports.
Work closely with Senior Research Directors to support all aspects of qualitative research and drive projects forward on stringent timelines.
Partner with external teams (global qualitative and quantitative research firms) to ensure quality and timeliness.
Collaborate with field facilities to align recruiting efforts with research needs.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of qualitative research processes and methodologies.
Requirements
3-5+ years of professional experience in market research, consumer insights, or related field.
B.A./B.S. degree in areas such as Social Sciences, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
Experience conducting interviews, moderating discussion groups, and working with qualitative research tools.
Prior experience in a role that involves collaboration between research and strategy teams is preferred.
Practical experience with the children/teen demographic and toys, games, collectibles, or entertainment categories is preferred.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills and the ability to present compelling stories with data and insights.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate at all professional levels.
Strong workflow management skills including time management, prioritization, project planning and implementation.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities across multiple projects.

The salary for this position has a range of $70,000- $90,000 based on anticipated responsibilities and market benchmarks. The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
